Quebrada Ravens
The land of Quebrada Ravens was donated by Dr. Francisco Nicasio Oliveres. Before this, the unique land was preserved by the local people. It is west of Merin Lagoon near the northern coast of the country. In August of 1986 it became a preserved area and later in 1994, many endangered species of birds were identified. Quebrada Ravens is home to a variety of flora and fauna. This includes many varieties of grasses, trees, vines, llanas, cacti, ferns, birds and mammals. Some of these birds include xolmis domincanus and agelaius favus. The geography consists of broken hills and ridges, several rivers and waterways. The climate is subtropical allowing the immense span of flora and fauna. 700 million year old crystals such as gneiss, mica schist and quartz have also been found there.
